Dr. Ward Receives UAA Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Diversity

Dr. Jervette R. Ward was recently awarded the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Diversity. The award recognizes "Outstanding contribution to the advancement of diversity of UAA students, staff and faculty through increasing the visibility and representation of diverse voices, creating an atmosphere of inclusiveness and community." Dr. Ward was recognized for her work with Dr. Gabriel M. Garcia, her co-chair of the UAA Faculty Senate Diversity Committee.
